Lonzetta Pope Jallah (lovingly known as “Tatie”)

The Pope, Jallah, and Dennis families announce with deep sadness the homegoing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and dear friend, Ms. Lonzetta Pope Jallah, lovingly known as “Tatie.” She passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Mountainside Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Mountainside, New Jersey, at the age of 94.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Mourning her passing are her daughter Olive A. Dennis; grandchildren Cianna L. Dennis, Charles T. H. Dennis III, Ciapha Dennis; great-grandsons Chaz Dennis, Chase Dennis, Calen Dennis, Christian Dennis, Ciani Dennis, Ciapha Dennis, Jr., great-great-granddaughter Tiffany Dennis; siblings Laura Howlin Jallah, Elise Pope, James Pope; and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States and Liberia. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest K. Jallah and her siblings, Jonetta Pope Miller, Victoria Fergurson, Sarah Howlin and Richard Pope.
