It is with profound sorrow and thanksgiving to God that the Knuckles and Jackson families announce the peaceful home going of their beloved Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Mrs. Jonetta Anita Knuckles. She was fondly called “Old Ma”, “Mother Dear”, Mom, Sis Jonetta and “Aunty John”. She transitioned into glory on the 13th of May 2024.
She was a loving, faithful and loyal wife, a self-denying, nurturing mother to her children, grandchildren, and many others. Jonetta loved the Lord, attended weekly church services, and seized every opportunity to share of His goodness. She was an effective intercessory prayer warrior, always available to counsel and comfort.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Hon. William G.A. Knuckles, Snr; eldest son, Bishop Solomon W. Knuckles; son, Calvin Knuckles; grandson, Stephen Calvin Horace; parents, Rev. Preston I. & Matilda Hope. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life, her beloved children, Cynthia (Phil), Wynford (Imelda), Anita (Samuel), Greta, Rev. Oswin (Patricia), Rev. Darius (Comfort). 33 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren. Her sister in-law, Mrs Roberta Knuckles-Kiawu (James), her niece Emma Hoff, nephew Dr. Albert B. Coleman (Magdalene) and host of beloved relatives, nieces, nephews, “adopted” sons and daughters globally, numerous families and dear friends in UK, USA and abroad.
