The Knuckles Family announces the homegoing of our beloved Jonathan Knuckles Jr. who went to be with the Lord on Friday May 1, 2026. This transition took place at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA.
Jonathan aka John was born unto the union of the late Jonathan H. Knuckles, Sr and Henrietta Lucas Knuckles at Firestone Medical Center in Harbel, Liberia, West Africa.
John became a devout Christian at an early age. He was christened and became a member of Seys United Methodist Church (fka Seys Methodist Church) in his hometown of the City of Careysburg, Liberia, West Africa. He had such a loving and caring heart and went above and beyond to help others in need. He served as a Philadelphia Police Officer for over 30 years. Upon retirement he spent his time feeding and clothing the homeless.
John was predeceased by his father Jonathan H Knuckles, Sr. and mother Henrietta Lucas-Knuckles, grandparent Robert E and Williametta Knuckles, siblings William G Knuckles, Nathaniel Knuckles and Stanley Knuckles, and aunts and uncles.
John leaves to cherish his siblings and in-laws, Knuckles relatives, Fraternal Police family. close acquaintances, Konola Academy Alumini Association, The Gbarnga Methodist Mission Alumini Association and Careysburg Association of America of whom he was a founding member.
