The Konuwa, Gibson, Buima, Dortu, Dagoseh, Metzger, Jangaba, Golafale, Johnson, Simpson, Kamara, Kannah families and a host of friends announce, with profound sadness, the death of our dear love son, James B. Konuwa, Jr., on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at 10:55 pm in Monrovia, ELWA Hospital, Paynesville, Liberia.
James is survived by his father, James Boima Konuwa, Sr., mother, Mrs. Rozetta Gibson- Konuwa, brother, Boima K. Konuwa (UncleB), USA, sister, Dekontee Konuwa-(Lamandine) USA, uncles, nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives in Liberia and abroad.
James graduated from Christ the King High School in 2010 and later enrolled at the United Methodist University (UMU).
Later James developed passion for Soccer and because of that he played for Mighty Barrolle Football Association, Club Beer Football Club and Watanga Footbal Club and Heaven Eleven Football Club. Later he travelled to Ghana, China and Kosovo where he attended Football sessions for some years and then returned to Liberia.
BUNU as he was affectionately called by friends and family members is remembered as a humble, loving and caring family member, trusted friend and he made friends in Liberia, Ghana and around the World at large.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
On Friday, January 17, 2025 his body will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home on Tubman Boulevard and taken to the Trinity Cathedral Episcopal Church for three (3) hours of Wake-Keeping;
On Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 9 am, the Funeral Services will be held at the same Church and interment follows at SHATA FUNERAL CEMENTARY in Careysburg, Montserrado County.
