The Kiawu, Knuckles, and Cole families, announce with heavy hearts, the sudden passing of James Asumana Kiawu, Jr., affectionately known as JK or Junior Kiawu. This sad event occurred on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in Loudoun County, Virginia, USA.
Mourning JK’s untimely death are his:
Wife, Ruth Porte Kiawu.
Father of advanced age, James A. Kiawu, Sr.
Children, Varsay Kiawu and Fredricka Stewart.
Grandchildren, Eli Kiawu, Jase Kiawu, and Joel Jaiblai.
Siblings, Hawah Kiawu, Tonia Kiawu, and Alvin Kiawu.
Family, grand aunt, Irene Marshall, and a host of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother Robertetta Knuckles Kiawu, and two brothers, Timothy and Sangba Kiawu.
JK will be lovingly remembered for his genuine outreach to family and friends, and for his architectural and draftsman skills, generously drawing and interpreting house designs and plans.
Junior will remain forever in our hearts.
