Family of William V . S. Tubman Jr.
Official Announcement
November 10, 1933 — September 17, 2026
It is with profound gratitude to God, and with faith and hope in Jesus Christ, that we announce the transition of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and servant of God, Mr. William V . S. Tubman Jr., who entered eternal rest on September 17, 2026.
He was a man of deep conviction, compassion and service — a devoted husband and family man, former Senator from Maryland County, Republic of Liberia, a man of the people, and a man who dedicated his life to serving his family, his community and his country.
As an evangelist, he devoted himself to Christ and to sharing the Word of God — a calling that brought him great joy, peace and purpose. His love for people left an enduring mark on the lives of those who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Wokie Tubman; his children, Antoinette (Erich), Sharon (Paris), Denise, Rosalind (Eddie) and Barkue (Karton); the many children he embraced, supported and loved as his own; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a wide circle of family, friends, colleagues and the many lives he touched through his service and ministry. He was predeceased by his son, Victor.
He also leaves behind numerous siblings and extended family members who mourn the loss not only of a brother, but of a father figure, an encourager and a pillar of the family. His sense of family extended well beyond biological relationships to cousins and loved ones he embraced as his own, and throughout his life, he remained committed to reaching out to and supporting those in need.
