“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”- Matthew 11:28.
It is with heavy hearts, and sorrow, that the Nah Family announce the homegoing of our dearest and beloved brother, Joseph Segblah Nah. This sad event occurred Friday, April 10, 2026 in Trenton, New Jersey.
Big Joe, as he was affectionately called, attended Cathedral Elementary School and later continued his education at Wells Hairston High School where he graduated with honors. Thereafter, he attended Booker T. Washington Institute (BWI) where he studied Architectural Drafting.
Upon graduating, he worked with the Ministry of Public Works for many years. In furtherance of his education in Architecture and Construction, he attended the McFatter Technical College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, (USA). At the time of his passing, he worked for DSM-Firmenich in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
To our family, Big Joe was a blessing and a source of quiet strength. He was a gentle, kindhearted soul. As the older brother, he led by giving of himself fully and selflessly, asking for nothing in return. He always put his siblings first, carrying burdens quietly and celebrating our joys as his own. Joseph’s love was never loud or demanding; it was steady, patient, and unconditional.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace knowing he is no longer in pain, but at peace, surrounded by heavenly love, and watching over us with the same care he showed in life. He leaves behind an indelible imprint of love that cannot be erased, a spirit that cannot be forgotten, and memories that will forever live in our hearts. Big Joe, we want you to know that you are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and remembered forever.
Joseph was preceded in death by his Father, Gabriel W. Nah, Sr.; Mother, Helena Wolo; Sister, Gloria N. Nah; and Brother, Thomas T. Nah.
He is survived by his Stepmother, Mrs. Patricia Nah; his siblings – Sisters: Doris Nah; Teresa Nah-Maynor; Veronica Nah-Walker; Rosemarie Nah; Christiana Nah-Ireland; Agnes Blamo; and Brothers: Gregory Nah (Eugenia); Dr. Gabriel K. Nah (Delphine); Gabriel W. Nah, Jr (Sametta); Rev. Fr. McDonald Nah; Blebo Blamo; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
