In Loving Memory of O’Dell Bonita Stevenson

In deepest despair and profound grief, the Stevenson, Roberts, Mason, Musgrove families announce the passing of our beloved O’Dell Bonita Stevenson, who transitioned from this life on March 6th, 2024, while undergoing treatment in Atlanta, Georgia.

O’Dell, affectionately known as Sister O’Dell, was a cherished member of our family and community. She touched the lives of many during her time at St. Theresa Convent School, Wells Hairston School in Monrovia, and Bong Town High School in Bong Mines.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by her three daughters, Sadia, Sadell, and Oyemi, along with six grandchildren who were the light of her life. O’Dell’s presence will be deeply missed by her closest friend and sister, Eneni Bangura, her siblings Onike Roberts Duncan, Brenda Oyemi Roberts, Sandra Roberts Lawrence, Ola Kiadii, Fole Kiadii, Teddy Sarif Roberts, Brian Roberts, and her mother, Mrs. O’Dessie Mason (Teacher Roberts).

O’Dell found companionship and joy in the arms of her longtime partner, Master Sgt. Joe Jones, and was surrounded by a vast network of family members, relatives, and friends who cherished her dearly.

Though she is no longer with us, O’Dell’s beautiful spirit will forever live on in our hearts. She is preceded in death by her father, Ted Roberts, her sister, Sonya Roberts, her grandmother, Onike Musgrove, and her great aunt Christiana Sawyer.

During this difficult time of grief and loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with O’Dell and the love she bestowed upon us all.
