With deep sorrow, the Bright and Gibson families announce the untimely passing of their beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin, Darlington Gibson Bright. Darlington unexpectedly transitioned on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Darlington’s cheerful personality was infectious, and he brought immense joy to all who knew him. His generosity, kindness, and warm spirit will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his loving parents, Richard A. E. and Laurinda M. Bright; his devoted siblings, Rachel Bright Neal, Mai Bright, Paul Wayson, Calvyn Bright (Rowena), Minta Bright, and Ida-Laurinda Larmouth; as well as a host of relatives and friends in the United States and abroad.
A homegoing service to honor and celebrate Darlington’s life will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Harvest Intercontinental Church, 49/51 Walnut Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Viewing will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 South Potomac, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
All who knew and loved Darlington are invited to join in remembering and celebrating his life.
