Psalm 91:1-2 “He that dwell in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust”.
Aunty Martha, God saw you getting tired so He put His loving arms around you and whispered in your ears, my child come to me. Your heart stopped beating and your hard-working hands took its rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that He and He alone deserves only the BEST.
It is with profound grief and sorrow that the Snyder, Minor (Brown), Cole, Pritchard, Brandy, Earley, Dunbar and Porte families announce the peaceful homegoing of our dear mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend Martha Snyder. She was affectionately called names such as Martous, SSP, Deputy, Snydous Finegirl, among many others. Our hearts may not have been ready but her wings were as she transitioned to be with her heavenly father and her ancestors.
Martha was employed with the Liberian National Police Force for over 20 years, until she migrated to the United States in December, 1999.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters: March Snyder and Edwina George; sisters: Debbie, Catherine, Frances, Grace, Edith, Elfreda, Eugenia, Marie, Rebecca and Chenisa; brothers: Eunine, Charles, John, Alfred and Othello, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the USA, Liberia and around the world. She was predeceased by her parents Edward Cole and Nancy Pritchard.
Aunty Martha will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Frederick, MD at All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 West Church, Frederick.
