Sunrise: July 28, 1934 – Sunset: October 13, 2023
The Robinson family hailing from Smell-No-Taste, Liberia, and Salisbury, North Carolina, together with the Liberian Community in North Carolina, deeply mourn the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Honorable Cooper Cornelius Dakana Robinson Sr. He peacefully transitioned to glory on October 13, 2023, at the age of 89.
Honorable Robinson was preceded in death by two sons, Mr. Alex Valpha, Mr. Cooper D. Robinson Jr, and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Laura E. Robinson. He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-eight years, Mrs. Rachel Ellen Porte Robinson, and his children: Oscar Robinson (Jackie), Comfort Sirleaf, Theresa Robinson, Lawrence Robinson (Louise), Aaron Robinson, Sando Robinson (Girlta), Viola Wood (Tito), Eric Robinson (Shane), Bill Robinson (Rachel), Papee Robinson, Tenneh Robinson, Konah Robinson (Thelma), Laffa Valpha, and Winston Smith his Special Son. His legacy continues through 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of other cherished relatives and friends.
We give thanks for the years we shared with him. He embodied the qualities of a good husband, an amazing father and a servant leader, extending his care not only to his family but to his community and the Catholic Church, where his faith was unwaveringly demonstrated. He was a source of strength to numerous individuals whose lives were touched by his enduring positive influence. His absence has created a void that can never be filled, yet his spirit will forever reside in our hearts.
His home going service and celebration of his life will be held this Saturday Oct 28, 2023 at the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 719 S Caldwell St, Salisbury NC 28144 Time: 10:30 AM
