The Badio and Hodge families Announce with deep sorrow, the death of their husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin, Mr. Henry Nyanati Badio. This sad event occurred on June 12, 2022 on his farm in Bokay’s Town, Grand Bassa County, Liberia. HB, as he was affectionately called, was born on September 14, 1939 unto the union of Benjamin S. Badio and Felicia Hodge-Badio in Garaway Maryland County, Liberia. He was a 1958 graduate of the Cape Palmas High School in Harper, Maryland County, Liberia; a 1963 graduate of the University of Liberia; and a 1971 graduate of the Ghana Technology University College in Accra, Ghana where he earned a Masters in Regional Planning. He travelled and studied in several other countries including Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Thailand and Israel. Upon his return to his beloved Liberia, he served in multiple director capacities at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Rural Development. The Late Henry N. Badio was pre-deceased by son Janathan T.C. Badio (1986). He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Eleanor Suah-Badio; his children, Melvin, Hodo and Dearest Badio; his brothers, Samuel Edgar Sie Badio, David Y. Badio, Theodore T. W. Badio and Victor G. Badio; his sisters Elizabeth Natt-Gbeyon, Sarah Quire-Nah, Mercy B. Bodio and Patience Quire-Ville; and a host of relatives, loved ones and friends both in Liberia and the USA.
