It is with deep sadness that the Cardor, Watkins, Togba, Wreh, Toh, Yalley, Wilson, Donkoh, and Addison families announce the unexpected passing of Mrs. Helena Wlepla Watkins-Cardor. She departed this life on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Monrovia, Liberia, following a brief illness. Mrs. Watkins-Cardor leaves to mourn her loss five children: Stephen Toh (Phyllis), Gladys Yalley-Donkoh (Joseph), Alexander Quamina Yalley Jr. (Augustina), Uwem Wilson, and Joseph Addison (Sarah). She is also survived by several grandchildren, including Stephenie Toh (Eugene) and Stevera McGee (Morris), as well as several great-grandchildren, siblings, Colbert R. Watkins, Samuel Eugene Wa Watkins, Joseph M Wreh Jr., Vivienne Wreh, and Esther Neal, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Exodus Cardor, her son George Kwaku Yalley, and her siblings Wellington Watkins, Louie Ashford Watkins, Mansfield Watkins, Amelia Muna Wreh, and Patrick Kla Wreh. Known affectionately as “Sister” or “Grand” by everyone, Mrs. Watkins-Cardor dedicated many years of her life to serving at the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, from which she honorably retired.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 9:00AM on Friday, December 13th, 2024 in Monrovia, Liberia.
