The Freeman/Fahnbulleh, Krakue, Perry, Jones, Passewe and Nelson families announce, with deep sadness, shattered hearts, and a profound sense of loss, the homegoing of our dear and cherished Uncle, Brother, Godson, Cousin, Godfather, Great Uncle, and loyal friend – George Donyeh Nelson Freeman.
This untimely and devasting event occurred on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 4 p.m., at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Mabel Perry-Freeman and Augustus Mustapha Freeman.
To his family, George N. Freeman modeled what an Angel on earth truly looks like. He carried himself with grace, strength, humility, perseverance, and endearing love. His smile was so bright it could light up the sky. Truly, a life well lived and the epitome of an outstanding family man and a friend you could count on. He will truly be missed, as this loss is indescribable.
George N. Freeman leaves to mourn his painful transition, his siblings: Sando Victoria Freeman, Olive Kpandi Freeman, Barbington Boima (Olga) Freeman, Wokie Elizabeth Freeman, Lamina Godwin (Miatta) Freeman, Kula Olive Freeman, Siafa Augustus (Vivian) Freeman and Shad Trokon (Catherine) Findley. He is also survived by his niece Famata Elizabeth (Dione) Fahnbulleh-Moore, and nephews: Thomas Bah Wiles, and Bernard Dola Fatusin, along with a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by three siblings: Augustus Mustapha Freeman, Jr., Richelieu Nana Nyemah and Nuss Freeman.
The family asks that you join us to celebrate this remarkable man who has left to be with his creator, the Almighty God. If for any reason you cannot be in attendance, a live video streaming link will also be provided for family and friends to virtually attend the Celebration of Life for our “beloved” George N. Freeman.
