With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, nephew, brother, and friend, Ephrem Harris. He bravely battled germ cell cancer and passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 18 years and 21 days. Despite his short time with us, Ephrem touched the lives of everyone he met.
Ephrem reached a significant milestone shortly before his passing, graduating from Archbishop Ryan High School. He was accepted and planning to attend Texas Tech University. His joy and pride on graduation day were evident, and we celebrated his achievement with immense pride.
A talented athlete, Ephrem excelled both on the football field and on the track. He was a running back for his school’s football team and earned the Track and Field 2023 Rookie of the Year title. Ephrem was enthusiastic about the future and eager to make a difference through his passion for technology and sports.
Ephrem is survived by his mother, Rose Joy Karmorh; his father, Siweh Harris; and his siblings, Ethan, Ewan, Erin, and Evan Harris. He is also cherished by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and a broad network of family and friends. We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community during this challenging time.
