It is with profound sadness the Penn and Gray families announce the untimely death of Dr. Phebian Gray Penn. Our dear wife, mother, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She departed this world on June 21, 2025, in Rome, Georgia. She was born to the blessed union of Mr. Joseph T Gray and Mrs. Phebian Freeman Gray in Monrovia, Liberia. She is predeceased by both of her parents. Phebian was predeceased by her husband Harvey Green Penn Jr. and sister, Ellarose Gray Richards
She is survived by her two handsome sons: Thomas J. Penn and Harvey A. Penn (Akili), 6 grandchildren, 4 sisters: Pastor Aurora Gray Braziel, Joan Gray, Jocelyn Gray Almond, Nancy Janice Gray, 3 brothers: Joseph Gray, Emanuel Gray, and Dewayne Gray and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
