It is with profound sadness that the Kennedy Jones Kemokai (KJK), Ward, Wiles, Bediako, and Stevens Families announce the passing of our dear beloved Husband, father, brother, cousin, friend, and confidant, Deacon Rufus Varney Kennedy, Sr. (aka, RVK). This sad event occurred on Sunday, December 15, 2024 in Providence, RI surrounded by family.
Deacon Kennedy was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of many.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 50 unbroken years, Elaine, his children, Massa Wiles (William), Florence Kennedy-Ward (James), Rufina Bediako (Gordon), Cieanna V. Stevens (Clinton), Maxzine Kemah Kennedy, Rufus Varney Kennedy, jr.(Linda), and Natasha Elaine Kennedy. Also a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving parents and granddaughter Jacinda Kennedy.
