Ciatta Tiffany Townsend

It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that the Townsend, Barchue, Randall, Wesley, Walker and Diggs families announce the passing of Ciatta Tiffany Townsend. This sad event took place on 10/12/2023.

Ciatta was born to the union of Clarence (deceased – 10/19/23) and Julia Townsend on February 13, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas. After finishing high school, Ciatta explored flying planes then decided to follow in her mother’s foot steps and started her career in nursing as an LVN. Ciatta, recently, completed her Associates Degree in Nursing and was currently studying to take her RN exam. After experiencing different types of nursing Ciatta settled into travel nursing and was on a contract in Vermont, at the time of her death.

Ciatta was a caring, sweet, social, intelligent, bright young lady. She loved studying and learning about Liberia, though born and raised in America. Ciatta loved to talk about Liberian politics and was an ANC Analyst who campaigned for Alexander Cummings. Ciatta was a very loving person.

Ciatta’s beautiful smile will be dearly missed. She leaves to mourn her son, Asa Bradley, her mother, Julia Townsend, and her sister Mydea Abaneme. Her aunts Markahn Saleh, Jackie Randall, Lati McIntosh, Neijae Sarwon, Marda Davis, Edwina Barchue, Lue Barchue, Dr. Rita Townsend, Naomi Enders, Ora Brewer, Jamesetta Bestman- Williams, Albertha Ghoson, Dekontee Taylor, Loraine Mason, Ruby Richie, Gloria Enzler, Rachel Johnson, Annie Massaquoi, Annie Townsend and Regina Townsend. Her uncles Larry Saleh, Richard Barchue, Yanwulu Sarwon, Julius Townsend, Everett Townsend, Joe Barchue, and Edwin Barchue. Her cousins Dycee Weh, Alexis Nava, Nickielia Martin, Stacy Adams, Aaliyah Saleh, Kamel Saleh, Iman Saleh, Amir Saleh, Melvenia Brewer, Samora Brewer, Edrica Barchue, Edrich Barchue, Darcy Barchue, Christine Sackie, Hne Yuoh, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents E. Reginald and Evelyn Townsend and her maternal grandparents John Borbor and Martha Juah Randall.
