Christine Kula McBorrough Okyne passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 60. Christine truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. Christine was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed going to the beach, cooking, dancing, Korean movies, work and traveling. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Although Cmac is gone, she will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her husband Abraham J. Okyne, Jr; her children, Iesha Kwela, William Malachi, Dennis Towle, Victoria Aba and Patrice Ella. Her siblings: Mietta Smallwood, Maxzina Smallwood, June Smallwood (Amelia), Alice Smallwood Kamara, Joyce McBorrough, Stephen Tolbert ( Ephan), Ella McBorrough and Bendu McBorrough Dawolo (Richard). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and a host of friends and acquaintances to mention. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher S. McBorrough and Kula J. Tolbert.
