The Late Noble Sister Cecelia Donyen Daniels was borned unto the union of Klagbeh Nyenswah Daniels and Comfort Boca Weah Wortor (both predeceased) on the 16th day of August 1947 in the city of Betu, Kru Coast Territory. As a young girl, our Mother migrated to Monrovia and resided with her Elder Brother Joseph Juwle Daniels (Deceased) in Clara Town, Monrovia. Young Cecelia enrolled at Edwin Barclay School Down Waterside, and through promotions moved on to Tolbert High School where she continued her secondary education. Noble Sister Daniels later joined the workforce and served as receptionist for an eye clinic in Central Monrovia. Said job was overridden by Sis Daniels passion for sewing and through apprenticeship she became a Professional Seamstress during her days and made a living out of her sewing.
Noble Sister Cecelia Donyen Daniels embraced the Catholic Faith which was introduced to her by her Parents at an early age in her hometown Betu. She dedicated her life to Christianity and upon relocation to Monrovia, transferred her membership to St. Mary’s Parish, Duala. Noble Sister Daniels played an active part in the Church and was active member of the St. Mary’s kru Choir, the Prayer Group, Catholic Women Organization, Our Lady of Lourdes Auxiliary #369, etc.
Our late Mother, Noble Sister Cecelia Donyen Daniels, is survived by five (5) children, namely Mr. Emmanuel S. Weagba, Sr (Roselyn), Boima Besario Boakai (Sophia) both of USA, Ms. Veronica Gbeh Weah, Mrs. Ellen Gbeahson Nyenkan-Tweh (Jacob), Mrs. Alice Mamie Daniels-Taylor, all of Liberia and Thirteen (13) Grandchildren. Our Mother is also survived by several siblings, namely Joseph Juwle Daniels, Michael kofa Daniels, Augustine Sanson Daniels, Anthony Slewion Daniels, Nimely Nyanswah Daniels, Elizabeth Bloh Daniels, Nyenswah Munah Daniels, Mary Gbeh Daniels, all Deceased, Mrs. Elizabeth Nyanitee Daniels-Cuffy (Liberia), Mr. Francis Nimene Kun, Sr. (USA), Lt./Col. Andrew J. Wleh, Sr. (Liberia), and Mrs. Anna Tarpeh-Banks (USA), Nephews, Nieces, and host of the other relatives and friends, both at home and abroad.
Our late Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt was a hardworking, loving, caring, considerate, and gentle mother who did not pick and choose amongst her Children, Grandchildren and People within her community. She loved God and served him committedly. Because of all these exceptional virtues, and values, we will miss her and the wonderful time we had together on this earth. Mama, having you was one of the best things that ever happened to us, but your departure has become our worst moments ever experienced. Inspite of the pains and agonies, thank God that you will now and forever remain our Guardian Angel!
