It is with profound sadness that the Bush, Gray, Harmon, Mason, and Smith families announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and cousin, Barbara Louise Bush Mason. She passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 12:21 A.M. in Ashburn, Virginia during a family prayer and hymn service at her bedside. She was surrounded by her daughter Francine, son-in-law Edwin, and grandchildren Breanna and ELuz.

She leaves to mourn her death her daughters Francine Harmon (Edwin), Henrietta Mulbah, Hilaria Mason-Moore (Craig), Hilma Mason; sons Edwin Bruce Mason and Lassanah Tarr (Isata); her sisters Henrietta Brewer and Josephine Eastman; her grandchildren; Breanna, Edwin “ELuz”, Pehledee, Wenwu, Larwuson “LG”, Josiah, Jonathan, and Jordan; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Hilary Mason; her parents, J. Richard Bush and Henrietta R. Gray Bush, along with her siblings, Adolphus, Jenkins, Eunice, Edwin, Joseph, and James.

Her unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and nurturing spirit will continue to guide us all. We take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord, and we hold dear the memories she left in our hearts forever. May her beautiful soul rest in perpetual peace and her caring spirit remain with us forever.
