With heavy hearts and loving memories, the Perkins, Manly, Wilson, Darby, and Diggs families announce the homegoing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin, Mr. B. Bennie Perkins. Bennie peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
Bennie spent most of his adult life in Minnesota, but as a true son of Liberia, Bennie returned home in 2016 and spent several years giving back. He touched the lives of many Liberians in Liberia as well as the United States.
Bennie was preceded in death by his father, Burgess Perkins; his mother, Johnette Manly Swen; his beloved son, Burgess Jefferson (BJ); and his siblings, Nelson Perkins and Rose Perkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Alliette Wilson Perkins; his children, Bennal Perkins and Burgette Perkins White (Gregory); his grandchildren, Ashley, Ava, and Aubrey; his siblings, Sam (Geraldine), Harriet, Patricia, Shirley (Edward), and Bendu; and many relatives and friends in the United States, Liberia, and around the World.
