It is with sadness, heavy and broken hearts that the Siryon, Sarnor, Chie, Wells, Sillah, and George F. Talhouk Jr. families announce with deepest regrets the passing and homegoing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Mr. Amadu Senese Siryon Sr.
This sad event occurred on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA after a long illness.
Amadu, affectionately known as “VanBoston,” “SnipperHill,” “Bandu’s Corner,” and “Mr. Du,” fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.
Amadu was the beloved husband of Beatrice N. Chie-Siryon for 41 years; loving father of Alicia Siryon-Wells and her husband William; Jermall McKoy-Siryon, Amadu Siryon Jr. all of Massachusetts and George Talhouk and his wife Patsy of Georgia; cherished grandfather of Jalynn and Jael, Shamia and Kymora, and Jasmine, Jordan, and Janee; brother of Mr. Varfee Siryon, Ms. Bandu Siryon, Ms. Daba Siryon, and Ms. Hawa Siryon all of New Jersey; and Mr. Folley Saytumah Siryon, Sr., Mr. Mohammed Fekah Siryon, Mr. Sensee Giso Sarnor, Mr. Sensee Amadu Sarnor, Mrs. Jennet S. Holmes, Mrs. Musu S. Tarr, Mrs. Jenebah Fahnbulleh, Mrs. Tiangeh N. Pay, Mrs. Bendu Karmoh, Mrs. Musu S. Sorsor, and Ms. Hawa L. Curtis Sarnor, all of Liberia; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents the late Senesse Sarnor and Jartu Siryon and his daughter, the late Amiina Siryon-Pfingstler.
Homegoing Services:
Funeral arrangements will be completed by Waitt Funeral Home in Brockton, MA.

All are welcome to visitation on Saturday, January 27th from 8:30-9:30 a.m., followed by a 9:30 a.m. homegoing service at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 24 Pleasant St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. A repast will take place at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church following the burial service.
