“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:1-3,
It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Barry Family, originally from Harbel, Firestone, announce the homegoing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin, Abraham H. Barry.
Osaka, as he is affectionately called by many of his Soccer and Kakata friends — transitioned from this life at a hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 5, 2024. He was predeceased in death by his father, H. A. Barry, his mother, Sarah Smallma Barry, and his sisters, Mary & Fatu Barry.
He has left to carry on his cherished memory his wife, Katherine R. Barry; his daughters, Mercy B. Lewis, Tina Barry, and Yvonne Barry; his sons, Dominic, Jeremiah, Archie & Alex Barry; 15 grandchildren, one (1) great grandchild, his siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He leaves a legacy of love, friendship, laughter, and memories that will be indelibly etched in our collective minds as long as we live. He will be sorely missed, especially by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings, whom he loved unconditionally.
