Life Sketch
With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, the Mason, Vah, Cooper, and Collins families announced the passing of Mrs. Charity Collins Cooper. This sad event occurred on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York.
Charity is survived by her husband, Emmanuel Collins, daughter Eva S. Sacker, four grandchildren: Benedick, Nathaniel, Patrick, and Isaiah; and siblings Joe K, Mason, Beatrice Vah, Nathalyn J. Vah, and Victoria A. Vah.
She is predeceased by her parents, Joe F. Kpah and Ama Hannah P. Kpah. sister Martha Vah and brother Kenneth R. J. Mason
Charity attended secondary school in Nsuta, Wassa Western Region, Ghana. Charity later came home to Liberia, where she attended and graduated from Saint Mary High School. She worked with the Liberia Telephone Company for many years. Charity later migrated to the United States, where she met and married Emmanuel Collins in New York City. Charity was well-known in the New York City and New Jersey area, where she lived for decades. She was a devoted church and community person.
Charity’s love, light, and compassionate soul will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
O death, what have you done again to us. In series, you took our mother, brother, and again, you have taken the only light which is our provider. May the lord guide and protect you until we meet again. We will miss you.
