It is with profound sorrow, but with unwavering faith in the Almighty God that the Dyer, Campbell, Neal, Railey, Hughes, Zubah, Sharpe and Ricketts families announce the peaceful transitioning of our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and mentor Col. Floyd Varney Campbell.
Col. Campbell peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on Monday, September 7, 2026 at his home in Williamstown New Jersey, USA.
Col. Floyd Varney Campbell was born on February 10, 1937 in Liberia; unto the union of Mr. RJB Campbell and Mrs. Verdell Dyer Campbell. His parents predeceased him. He leaves to cherish in precious memories: His wife Elizabeth Affuah Campbell of 69 years, his siblings: Ethel Fairy Neal, Mrs. Theresa Hughes, and Mrs. Williametta Zubah, his children: Verdell Campbell, Idell Campbell, Gertrude Musu Campbell-Cooper (Jesse Sr.), Maijane Campbell, Leila Campbell, Liz Meitta Campbell, and George Campbell, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren,1 great, great grandchild and a host of relatives and acquaintances in Liberia and the United States.
