The Harriette E. Dixon-George/Harris Family announces with deep love and sorrow the peaceful transition of our beloved, Dolly Ruth Harris, on March 10, 2026, in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Dolly was born in Monrovia, Liberia. She lived most of her adult life in Europe and the United States. She was a devoted Christian, and was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church in Monrovia, Liberia, where she also sang in the choir. After relocating to the United States, she affiliated with the Old Bergen Presbyterian Church in Jersey City, New Jersey.
She received her bachelor’s in business administration at Jersey City University, now NJCU. Later, she relocated to California and was affiliated with the Calvary Chapel. While in California, she worked as a Clerk of Court. In 2014, she moved back to New Jersey to be with her siblings, where she received love and care until her passing. She remained faithful in God’s Word, and her faith, up until the end of her earthly life.
She loved sports and would enjoy conversations with her uncle Rudolph about the games. Her favorite team was the Buffalo Bills.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her children Jackie and Monah, three grandchildren, Sankie Fineboy-Davis (Emmanuel), Reine and Reem El Awar, one great-grandson, siblings, Nieces, Nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones all over the world.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, parents, Edwin and Elizabeth Massaquoi-Harris, siblings, and a great cloud of witnesses who have gone before to prepare the way for her.
