On January 18, 2026, we said goodbye to Victor Leon Dennis, a man whose life was a beautiful testament to grace, dignity, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge.
Victor was known for his magnetic charisma and his ability to draw people in with thoughtful words and a genuine presence. Whether through his engineering expertise or his warmth as a father, brother, and friend, Victor touched countless lives. He was a proud alumnus of College of West Africa (CWA), the University of Liberia, and George Mason University—academic milestones that reflected his true intellectual spirit.
While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his parents, Joseph and Ethel Rose Dennis, and his beloved son, Joseph Ansumanah Dennis. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Victoria Dennis. He is also remembered by his siblings: Vera Dennis, Herbert Dennis, the late Michael Dennis, Yvonne Dennis, Gwendolyn Dennis, Calvin Dennis, and Lionel Dennis.
His funeral service will be held at St. John Baptist Church, 9055 Tamar Dr, Columbia, MD 21045, and he will be laid to rest at Maryland National Memorial Cemetery, 13300 Baltimore Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.
