With deep sorrow, The Wilson Family and Families of the Tuoh Clan of Grand Kru County regret to announce the passing of their father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather, Mr. Joseph Wea Sackor Wilson Sr. at the home of his daughter Dwede Wilson-Willie in West Haven, CT. USA, on June 26th, 2025. He was 88 years old.
He is predeceased by his wife, Rachel Diode Sebo Wilson, and his grandson Jehu Wilson.
He is survived by his children Mr. Prince Wilson, Mr. Henri Wilson, Mr. James Wilson (Mrs. Cecelia Wilson), Mrs. Joan Wilson-Hunter (Mr. Cornelius Hunter), Mr. Joseph Wilson Jr.(Mrs. Maria Wilson), Ms. Janet Nyanti Sebo Wilson, Ms. Gertrude Wilson, Ms. Wynee Wilson, Mrs. Dwede Wilson Willie (Rev. P. Harvey Willie Jr.), Mr. Mack Kennedy Sr., (Nelesen Kennedy), Mr. Abraham Wilson, Mrs. Dwede Wilson Payne (Mr. George Payne), Ms. Josephine Shilling, Mrs. Jestina Wilson Dolo (Rev. Emmanuel Dolo) and Ms. Tardy Sebo.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Janday Wilson, Henri Wilson Jr., Kassandra Wilson Weh, Emmanuel OJ Hunter, Sammy Wilson, Rachel Sogbandi, Harveri Willie, Jamal Wilson, Patience Hunter, Jamie Wilson, Rufina Moiseemah, Mack Kennedy Jr., Macketta Kennedy, Tracy Chattah, Princess Wilson, Betty Wilson, Willie Garglahn, Yvonne Wilson, Linda Wilson, Phillip Wilson, Barcho Toure, Prince Harris, Beretta Wilson, Cornelius Wilson, Faith Wilson, Jojo Wilson, James Wilson, Gus Wilson, Kpannah Wilson, Jamesetta Wilson, Alfred Wilson, Lillah Tolbert, Dweh Nah, Clara Tolbert, Tracy Dolo, Jaydon Yuan, Belove Dolo and several Great grandchildren.
He will be fondly remembered by his family, including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the United States, Liberia, and abroad.
He was the youngest of six siblings, all of whom predeceased him.

On Friday, August 1st, the remains of our dear father will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home at 5 pm and taken to the St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 10th Street, Monrovia, Liberia for a wake keeping at 6 pm-9 pm.
On Saturday, August 2nd, a Celebration of Life for our beloved father will be held at St. Stephen Episcopal Church, 10th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
Service: 10 am
