The Caine, Woods and O’Conner families of Liberia announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grand mother, aunt, cousin; Mrs. Theresa Woods-Caine, affectionately referred to by friends and loved ones as Mother Caine, who took her wings to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday October 18, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. She was a Registered Nurse and Hospital Administrator (Retired) who worked in the field of healthcare in Liberia from 1953 until 1990 at the onset of the Liberian civil crisis. Her husband, Mr. Johantz M. Caine, Sr., predeceased her in 2019. They were married for 65 years at the time of his death.
Theresa leaves to mourn her family, relatives and friends in the USA and Liberia. She touched many lives, and she will be truly missed. Her legacy of love, leadership and compassion will continue to inspire those she came across over decades of service to humanity. Her memory will live in the hearts of those she left behind, especially her beloved and caring daughter Pastor Uriel J. Caine and the many others she mothered along life’s journey including her children through marriage, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of relatives in Liberia and the United States.
Home going Arrangements are as follows:
Wake Keeping Service and Tributes: Friday November 8, 2024. 6:00pm to 8:30pm.
Funeral Service: Saturday November 9, 2024, Commencing at 9am for viewing, service begins at 10:00am. To God Be the Glory Ministries Church, 2200 Fremont Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411.
