Giving thanks to God for a life well lived, but with grieving hearts, the Smart, Todd, Slocum, Cheeks, and Sha Sha families announce the homegoing of Mr. Alexander Baltimore Smart. This sad event occurred on December 3rd, 2022, at 9:40 am at the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queens, New York.
Alexander was born to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Toby Smart and Caroline Jacqueline Mini Shavers-Todd Smart who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by several brothers and sister. He leaves to mourn his loss, several children, grandchildren, one sister, several sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States of America and Liberia.
His remains will be taken from the J. Foster Philips Funeral Home (179-24 Linden Blvd, Jamaica, NY) on Friday December 23rd, 2022, at 8:00am, and taken to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (8958 163rd street, Jamaica NY, 11435)
Viewing starts at 9:00am, and Funeral Service at 10:00am after which his remains will be taken to the Pine Lawn Cemetery for internment.
