It is with sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful homegoing of our beloved Ted E. Roberts which occurred on Friday, March 5th, 2021 at his home in Silver Spring, Maryland while being surrounded by his family.
The late Ted E. Roberts started his career in broadcasting at E.L.B.C. in Monrovia, Liberia. He subsequently emigrated to the United States of America where he continued his Professional life working simultaneously as a full time Associate Professor at Howard University (D.C.) and part time, as Managing Editor/Executive Producer/Presenter for the Voice of America for over 35 years.
He leaves to mourn, his wife Susan Roberts; his children, Brigette Onike Duncan (Jimmy), Bonita Odell Jones (Joe), Brenda Oyemi Roberts, Teddy S. Roberts (Teresa), Sandra Roberts Lawrence (Chris), and Brian Roberts; several grand and great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ted E. Roberts was pre-deceased by his parents: Mrs. Onike Musgrove and Mr. Teddy E. Roberts; his daughter: Sonia Roberts; and his brothers: Zack and Dudley Musgrove.
Due to the Pandemic, there will be a private family only service on March 20th, however we invite all sympathizers to view the service via Zoom.
