The Woniewala, Washington, & Saygbe families announce with heavy hearts, and profound sadness, the untimely passing of their beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Mr. Samuel B. Woniewala who passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, after a protracted period of illness.
This heartbreaking and sad event occurred at the Penn Center for Rehabilitation and Care / University of Pennsylvania Facilities, 3609 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Mr. Samuel B. Woniewala (commonly called “Big Bird”) was born on October 8, 1943, in Division 43, Firestone Plantation, Liberia, to the union of Mr. Moses Y. Woniewala and Zogbo Tarnue (predecessor). He completed secondary school at Konola SDA Mission Academy. Mr. Woniewala employment career included, Firestone Rubber Plantation, Harbel, Liberia (Superintendent), Cocopa Rubber Plantation (LIBCO) Nimba County, Liberia, (Manager) and The Liberian National Security Agency as Director for Records and Analysis.
Mr. Samuel B. Woniewala was predeceased by his sons, Samuel B. Woniewala Jr and Fokpa L. Woniewala and his daughter Sowo Woniewala.
Mr. Samuel B. Woniewala leaves to mourn his loss his children, Lucia Woniewala, Jestina Zogbo Woniewala (Emmanuel Roberts), Farse Woniewala, Amelia Woniewala (Adewale Opeibi), Mabel Woniewala Zoaryan (Alvin Zoaryan), Garbo Woniewala, Victoria Woniewala, Joyce Kpana Woniewala, Prince Woniewala, Samuella Woniewala, Moses Woniewala, Shafic Woniewala, Francis Woniewala. Host of grandchildren, Brothers, Sisters, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, other relatives and friends.
