“The Yarkpawolo, Clarke, and Brooks families express their profound sorrow in announcing the passing of Mr. David W. Forkpah, born May 18, 1955, died on August 9, 2025, at the Phebee Hospital in Bong County. This loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his loved ones and community members. Mr. Forkpah’s contributions and presence had a significant impact on those around him, and his departure leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.
David W. Forkpah, affectionately known as “The Pharmacist,” is remembered as a loving husband, dedicated father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, cousin, and trusted friend. His life was marked by strong family bonds and a commitment to those around him. He is survived by his wife, Martha C. Clarke, and his fifteen children, six of whom are with Martha. His family also includes numerous relatives such as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, thirty-eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces, and great grand nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Yarkpawolo and Korpo M. Forkpah, along with several siblings.
His legacy continues through the love and memories shared by his extensive family and friends, reflecting a life dedicated to service, family, and community.
