It is with deep sorrow that the family of Merylena Hannah Major (née Chea) announces her passing at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She was surrounded by her husband and children in her final moments.
Merylena was a Christian, loved God, a staunch member of the St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Episcopal Church Women, the African United Methodist Church, and the Sinoe County Association in the Americas. She was also an avid supporter and fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Merylena was a woman of style and elegance and a lover of fascinators. As a tribute to her, the family would like to encourage the women attending her homegoing services to wear their fanciest fascinators.
