With deep sorrow, the Wisseh, Juah Wleh, Tarpeh, Julu, Worjloh, and Kanteah families announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend — Mr. Nyenneh Anthony Wisseh, affectionately known as “BarWee.”

BarWee was born in Liberia to Nimeneh and Nyonnoh Wiah Wisseh. In the 1970s, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he pursued his education at Dyke College, earning his undergraduate degree. He later moved to New York and completed his MBA in Accounting from Long Island University (LIU), where he remained a proud alumnus.

He was a dedicated member of Old First Presbyterian Church in Newark, NJ, serving faithfully in many roles. BarWee also served as President of the Liberian Community Association of North Jersey (LCANJ) and President of the Arteena Krao Association of NJ.

He was a loving husband to Octavia Wisseh, his children: Antoinette, Weah, Isaiah, Helena, Roland, Randall, Tony, and Kaimon. He was a man deeply committed to his family, friends, and community. He had a kind and giving heart, always checking in on others and offering help wherever needed. His wisdom, strength, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
