She put on the wings of an Angel, to sit up high with her heavenly Father whom she loved with every fiber of her life. A dedicated soldier and warrior of God’s army, she is with all the other Angels in heaven.
Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a savoir from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is with heavy hearts and deepest sorrow that the Swaray, Woods, Massaquoi, Fredericks, Mills, Bannerman and Buxton families, and the Harvest Intercontinental Church family, announce the homegoing of our dearest and beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and devoted sister in the Lord.
This sad event occurred on Wednesday October 11, 2023, in Houston, Texas USA.
Anna Swaray, “Ann-tutu” as she was affectionately called by her late father, was a loving mother to all her children, the “Best Mother” we could ever hope for. She was a loving grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Anna was a devoted Christian, baptized and raised as a Roman Catholic, she later in life discovered her true calling, to walk with Jesus, preach his gospel and evangelize. In this light, she became a dedicated member and later a Minister of the Bethel World Outreach Church, now known as Harvest Intercontinental Church. Nobody could “out Jesus” her. While her father J. Henry Swaray served the Liberian Government as Consul General in Hamburg, Germany, Anna attended the Stella Maris Convent, Bideford, North Devon, England. At Stella Maris Convent Anna demonstrated great skills in Domestic and culinary Science and was recognized for her works in sewing. She was loved by all the nuns, Sister of Charity of Jesus and Mary (SCJM), and schoolmates because she was always jovial, loved to dance and make others happy. Returning to Liberia with her parents in the early 1960’s, she continued her studies at the Saint Theresa Convent Catholic school Monrovia, Liberia. Anna worked as an Administrator and a formidable debt collector at St Joseph’s Catholic Hospital, Liberia for 19 years, until the civil war. She migrated to Ghana and finally the United States.
Anna was predeceased by her father Joseph Henry Swaray, mother Elizabeth Barbah Swaray, sisters Attracta and Augusta Swaray and brother Dr Swithin Mustapha Swaray.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, her children Osmund Woods Jr, (Pheme/Daughter), Elshmere Woods (Belinda/ Daughter), Lena Woods, Jim Woods, Ana-Marie Woods, and Vera Woods. Her beloved grandchildren Lamar Woods, Cristabel Woods, Carmina Woods, Sage Woods, Nathan Woods, and Kayla Woods. Her dear brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, a host of other beloved relatives and her church family in the United States, Liberia, Ghana, Europe, and other parts of the world.
