Georgia Alfreda Monjay Cole, was born in Monrovia, Liberia on May 7, 1957. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her sons and family on June 25, 2022, in Savannah, GA.
She was raised and educated in Liberia, England, and the United States. Her professional life consisted largely of clerical assignments, where she excelled in customer service. Through her generous nature and love of cooking, she passionately cared for her family and all of those that she encountered. She led a full life where her delightful, fun-loving personality poured out of her in all ways possible.
She leaves behind her two loving sons, Chike Cole and Joseph Michael Cole. Siblings, older brother, Edward Cole, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and older sister, Vera Cole Bailey, of Columbia, South Carolina. Predeceased by her parents, Georgia Manly Cole and Samuel Ekundayo Theophilis Cole Sr., brothers Samuel Cole Jr., Calvin Cole, and Raphel Cole. She leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was deeply loved and will be terribly missed.
Her wake/Rosary will be on Thursday, July 14th at 6:00pm.
The funeral will be on Friday, July 15 @ 10am at Saint James the Less Catholic Church, Savannah, Georga, 31406.
The interment at Catholic Cemetery, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA 31404( to the right of Hillcrest Abbey East) with the Repast to follow immediately afterwards at Saint James the Less Catholic Church.
