It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Clark, Lewis, Harris, Mills, Anwo, Sirleaf, and Ziah families announce the passing/transition of our Beloved Mother/Sister/Grandmother/Great Grandmother/Aunt/Cousin Edith Dorwo Lewis. This sad event occurred on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, New Jersey.
“Mommy”, “Sister Edith” or “Sis E”, as she was affectionately called, is survived by her children; Alexander Daniel Lewis, Ohenewa Princess Mills-Ziah (Gibson Nyonbeor Ziah), Theophilus Addo Mills, Mohammed Anwo, Jr., and Aminatta Kanfee Sirleaf. Her grandchildren; Precious D. Cooper, Comfort Cooper, Alexis Sia Lewis, Reginald M. Ziah, Faith M. Ziah, Marie B. Ziah, Andy Oniyama, Joshua Mills, Christina Mills, Amanda Mills, Ashley Mills, Hanif Anwo, Aziz Adams, and Mohammed Anwo III. Her great grandchildren; Renee Miracle Abotsi, Princess Light Wisseh, Edward Lutterodt, Jr., Major T. Charles, and Sahara Promise Oniyama. Her brother; Erickson Harris. Her Nephew; Garyazon Harris. Her cousins; Sarah Ramseur, Teta Rose Smith, Marguen Harris, Clarice Turner, Floyd Turner & Jason Turner. Her goddaughter; Menseh Margaret Jones, and a host of other relatives. Edith’s parents; Moses Lewis and Edith Clark Lewis, daughter; Finah Shasha Musu Anwo Marah, siblings; Ruth Albert, Matilda Harris, James Lewis, Olive Lewis, T. Wellington Lewis, Samuel Bundeh, and Eliza Precious Mason predeceased her. We all will miss her more than words can express.
We are very grateful and highly appreciate the outpouring of love, support, visitation, and calls of condolences. May “Mommy”/“Sister Edith”/”Sis E” soul rest in eternal peace and may light perpetual shine on her.
