Cthoe Barlay, aged 47, a beloved son, was called to his eternal resting place on March 28, 2024, in Cranston, Rhode Island. He entered this world on December 12, 1976, in Monrovia, Liberia, born to Frank Barlay and Lopu Yuku Matthews. He is predeceased by his loving grandmother, Kortu Garwee Mulbah, and his brother, Samule Barlay. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father, Frank Barlay, his mother, Lopu Matthews, and his stepmother, Pauline Barlay. He leaves behind his cherished son, Cthoe Barlay Jr., affectionately known as CJ. Also mourning his loss are his brothers: Morris, Bobby, Paul, Jay, and Roosevelt (Barlays), and his sisters: Gartee, Mbaintu (Barlays), and Sia Davina Hallie. Additionally, he will be deeply missed by a host of friends and relatives, including uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, and nieces in Liberia and the United States of America. Cthoe was known for his caring and compassionate nature, and he was loved by many. A memorial service was held in Providence, Rhode Island, on April 6, 2024. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
