With a joyful heart and praises of thanksgiving to the Almighty God, the Peter Zangar Jackson Sr. family announces the peaceful transition into Eternal life of our loving and sweet Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grand, Sister, Aunt, Cousin , and In-Law. Mrs. Bernice Luluwah Okai Jackson.
Surrounded by her family in prayers and worship, this blessed event occurred on June 19, in North Providence, RI; U.S.A. Bernice was born in Marshall, Margibi County, Liberia. She was a true matriarch and devoted christian woman.
Honouring her legacy while celebrating her fond and indelible memories are her children: Alfred Mccaully (Sarah); Christian D. Jackson (Amanda); Peter Zangar Jackson Jr. (Roseline) ; Judy Jackson; Patrick M. Jackson (Dolly) ; Tenneh Richardson (Jehu) ; Philemon Jackson ( Nymanda). (27) Grandchildren and (21) Great Grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews, including Mr. Ammon Okai (Madia) RI. U.S.A, cousins, relatives, inlaws, extended families of Margibi County, church family members of the Trinity United Methodist Church Providence, RI, U.S.A at which she was a faithful member, as well as friends and several acquaintances in U.S.A ,Ghana , and Liberia respectively.
She was predeceased by her Husband Peter Zangar Jackson Sr. ( “Pa. J, “Jackie Boy”), . Parents: Mr. and Mrs. Okai; Several brothers and sisters.
Terms of endearment for Bernice who was known as: “ Ma Bernice”, “ Sister”, “Mama”, “Jackie Girl”, “ Small Granma”, “Aunty”, “ Mammie” , Mother Jackson”, “ Luluwah”, and “ Sis Bernice”.
Bernice was easy-going with a pleasant disposition, soft-spoken with a quiet strength, adored and loved by all who got to know her. She represented the true embodiment of motherhood to all who came in contact with her, THANK YOU, MAMA!!
