The Bailey, Sleyon, Sonpon and Botoe Families are saddened to announce the death of our mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, Agatha Forgbe Sleyon-Bailey who departed this life to be with the Lord on May 26th, 2026, at JFK Memorial Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
She was predeceased by her parents, Philip M. Sleyon, Lucy Balleh Sonpon and her beloved husband Julius Saa Bailey.
She leaves to mourn her death, her children, Alexander Kojo Slewion, Jr, Philip Sarteh Bailey, Marina Trobleh Bailey, Josephine Bailey, Blessing Bailey, And Moses Harris. Her grandchildren Mark Kardio, Julius Bailey, Alexander Kojo Slewion III, Augustine Moore, Demel Slewion and Melvina Moore.
Her siblings, Eudora Dodoe Jlay, Stephen T. Botoe, Elizabeth Wanneh Botoe, Anna B. Botoe, Marie Botoe-Johnson, Philip Sarteh Sleyon, Veronica Sleyon, Patricia Sleyon, Tanneh Sleyon, Juah Sleyon, Nimely Benedict Johnson, Monica Sleyon, Lucy C. Sleyon and Meten P Sleyon. Her many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the many people she called her children.
