The Carr, Moore, and Sawyer families announce with great sorrow the passing of Mrs. Sylvia C. Sawyer. She passed away at her home in Liberia on April 6, 2026, at the age of 77.
She is survived by her beloved children: Billcan V. Scott, Grace O. Moore, Rev. Merlyne B. David, Edward Moore, Wilfred Moore (Satta Moore), Ralph R. Moore, Justina J. Obodo (Ike Obodo), and Marsaynii D. Sawmadal (Archie G. Sawmadal). She also leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by five of her children, including her son, Richard Weah.

Eliza Turner Memorial AME Church
(Remains will be removed from Stryker Funeral Parlour between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and transported to the church.)
