Dorothy, (Teta as she was affectionally called) was born in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia unto the union of Albert Chenoweth and Sarah Allen-Chenoweth. She is now rejoicing with her loving parents.
She was a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle, and commissioned as a Missionary. At the United Christian Assembly Church Dorothy served as a Pastoral Aid. Dorothy was a faithful servant of the Lord and actively attended Church. She was raised by her parents who provided the type of family structure that was filled with loving corrections, instructions and support. She love every one even when she did not receive love in return. She gave, and at times neglecting her own needs.
Dorothy leaves behind her only son Jonathan Buxton, her last surviving brother Arthur D. Chenoweth (Curline), her only granddaughter Jazmine Buxton, nieces & nephews: Musulyn A. Chenoweth, Bernadine Allen-Peabody, Brenda Allen-William, Sarah Stryker, Christiana Harmon-Tah, Lucelia Harmon, John P. Harmon, Yude Hammond, Albert Hammond, Winston Hammond, Henri Hammond-Nephew, Comfort Chenoweth-Warner-Niece, Uncle and niece in-law Enoch Buxton (Toni), several cousins and friends in Liberia and the USA.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Rachel Chenoweth-Stryker, Patricia Chenoweth-Wilson, Burl J. Allen, Harriette Elizabeth Chenoweth-Hammond, Albert Chenoweth, Robert Chenoweth, Hattie Chenoweth; nieces Messsie Allen and Musu Alverstine Blake.
Her serving and forgiving memory will continue to remain with all who knew her and had a personal relationship.
Home going Celebration honoring and recognizing the life of a devoted and faithful servant, Dorothy Teta Chenoweth will take place as follow:
