It is with deep sadness that the The Gibson, Harmon, Doe- Bleh and Cooper families announce the homegoing of our beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Cousin, CHRISTOPHER LLOYD GIBSON. He departed this life on December 19, 2025 at the John F. Kennedy Hospital after a period of illness. His body is currently deposited at the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Parlors.
Chris, as he was affectionately called, was an employee of The Continental General Insurance and also a devoted Leader of the Choirs at The St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
He leaves to mourn his loss his Siblings, Cynthia L. Gibson Whisnant, Euphemia R. Gibson Brown, James Doe Gibson, Jr. and Joseph P. Gibson; one daughter, Ethel G. Gibson, one grandchild; Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and a host of other relatives and Friends including The St. Thomas Church family.
Funeral Arrangements:
On Friday January 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m, his mortal remains will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Parlors, Tubman Boulevard and taken to the St Thomas Episcopal Church, Camp Johnson Road for Wakekeeping from 6-9 p.m.
On Saturday January 17, 2026, Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the same Church, followed by Internment at the SHIATA FLOWERS AND VAULTS, Careysburg.
