The Bywarl, Flomo, Harris, Boons, Yearney, Sims, and Dymacole families announce with deep sorrow the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, niece and cousin, Adella Garmai Bywarl affectionately known as AB. Adella peacefully departed this life in Champlin, Minnesota, on March 12, 2026.
AB was a woman of faith, grace, generosity, and steadfast love, who gave all of herself to bring joy to others. Her love for children and her legacy of excellence in early childhood education and deep devotion to family will continue to live in our collective memory.
Adella Garmai Bywarl was predeceased by her parents Musu Kau Flomo and Samuel Bywarl, and her siblings, Rose Evelyn Harris-Morrison and Elizabeth Harris.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her children: Ernest Sumo Norris Jr, Allen Hyacinthe Norris, Dehkontee Norris-Coulibaly and Leelia Ernestine Norris; her grandchildren: Zoya Korlu Norris, Ezra Togba Norris, Tony Blue Norris, Lucy Adele Norris, Coulisa Faith Coulibaly, Drissa Jordan Coulibaly Jr. and Zaria Nala Coulibaly; Her siblings: Cerue Harris, Thomas Edsel Boons (Precious), Mamennie Lucasta Bywarl, Finnia Yearney, Emmanuel Bywarl Dunbar, Janet Dunbar, Comfort Sims, and Isaac Barwon; her niece Victoria Dean (Benjamin Gbelee); and a host of other relatives and friends in the United States, Liberia, Europe, and Australia.
