With heavy hearts, but thanks to God for the life he lived, the Johnson, Yhap, Putu, Gibson, and Kalau families share the passing of our beloved brother, father, uncle, grandfather, cousin, and friend, Abraham Benedictus Gerard, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in Accra, Ghana.
Abraham leaves behind his children: Alfredo (Jennett), Alieu, Shedrian, Valentine, Kona Dominique, Emani, Ebrimah, and Maima Katy; his siblings: Katy Yhap (Ian), Daniel Johnson (Nefretia), William Johnson, Rodney Johnson, and Luci Cheng; the matriarch of the family, Maria Kinney Thomas; along with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many relatives and friends who were touched by his love, wisdom, and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel Johnson and Bindu Johnson, and siblings Jassie Johnson, Emmanuel Johnson, Quentin Johnson, and Johnny Gerard.
Heavenly Father, we place him in Your loving care. May he rest in peace, and may Your light shine on him always. Amen.
