It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we the (Bernard, Perry, Kruza, Torh & Reeves families) announce the passing of our beloved Mrs. Elizabeth Tennessee Perry Bernard, who departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York.
Mrs. Bernard was a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family and community. She leaves to mourn her passing a host of family and friends to include her children
Victoria Torh, Gracia Comfort Reeves, Elizabeth Kruza-Collins (Eugene Collins) and Godfrey C. Kruza Jr. (Amelia Kruza).
Her son Dominic Dio Kruza pre-deceased her in June 2020. She was also pre-deceased by her husband Mr. David Bernard.
EB, as she was affectionately called by many of her loved ones, is survived by her siblings Luna Bernice Perry-Castle (Lloyd Castle), Orita Massa Perry, Mona Bedell, Koffa Elizabeth Nimely, Ambassador Christopher Wleh Moore,
She also leaves to mourn her passing several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing as well is her nephew Mr. Alexander Sumowulu, with whom she resided for many years in Arkansas, U.S.A., her cousin Rose Bedell Frank with whom she also resided for many years in Philadelphia, U.S.A. and her darling and beloved Caregiver, daughter and friend Mrs. Emily Banks-Gbamokollie and her family; to include her “pantry buddy” Mrs. Evangeline Horace.
We will forever treasure her memory and honor the legacy of her faith in Jesus Christ and her love and caring for others.

Following the service in the United States, Mrs. Bernard will be laid to rest in her homeland of Liberia.
