With profound sadness, the Tarhun, Sangbeh, Youngehy, Morlu, Ndorbor, and Gobeh families announce the untimely death of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, and aunt, Korpu K. Tarhun. This unfortunate event occurred on February 4, 2026, at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia.
Ma Korpu, affectionately called, was born November 28, 1950, in Ngokorhun, Lofa County. She was predeceased in her death by her parents, sister, brothers, and her daughter, Weedor Gobeh. Ma Korpu is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Bundor (Samuel), Jenneh Gobeh, Weemon Gobeh, Princess Ndebeh, 2 surviving sisters, an aunt, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends,14 grandchildren, including Martina Mbengam (John), Joseph S Ndebeh, Justin Sando Kollie (Akea), Daniel Mitchell, Rebecca Kpambu Yormah, Jarso Bundor, and Owusu Blay, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Ma Korpu absence will leave a void, but her love will forever remain in our hearts.
