The King, Gboyah, Berrien and Davis Families are saddened to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, Benetta Luvenia Berrien King, best known as Kortor, on December 11, 2025. Born on March 18, 1945, to Benjamin Berrien and Patsy E. Davis, in the Township of New Georgia, Liberia.
She was joined in marriage to Reuben Sayonkon Gboyah King, who predeceased her. She is survived by seven (7) children: Cendeniell Ward Nicol, David S. Fellejuah, Dr. Jacqueline E. Gboyah-Bush (Vincent Bush), Aladdin Gboyah King (Jowo King), Lafayette T. King (Lupu Gbassagee King), Eunice Nasch King, Magdaline Monkonjay Komonteh (Ojuku Komonteh), several foster children to include: Henry Nahwen, Elros Dennis (Shadrina Dennis), Phillip Saray, Sayweh Pour Gaye (Joseph D. Gaye), Monyean Pour Zelee (Alvin Zelee), along with 38 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-granchild. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin.
She is predeceased by her son Laurence Gboyah King, her sister Henrietta Paykue, her two brothers, William Walbuck Sr. and Franklin Wade. She leaves to mourn four brothers, George Wellington Davis, Herbert Wilson, Lafayette Walbuck, and Reginald Wade.
